About the NorthStreet Coffee House

The North Street Coffeehouse hosts an evening of open mic with a featured performer on the first Saturday of every February, April, May and November. Open mic begins at 7:00 p.m., with the feature going on around 9:15 and ending at 10:00. All genres of music, prose, poetry and comedy are welcome and we promise you a relaxed and supportive atmosphere! Advance sign-up for open mic is recommended - email us. Refreshments are available. Admission is $10, or $5 for open mikers.

• Our feature performer tonight is Karen Woodhall with Carl McPhee and Linda Hannigan. Karen embraces all the influences of contemporary folk and acoustic music: everything from folk, pop standards, blues to country. Sometimes described as “big-mama blues with a little-girl voice”, Karen brings a refreshing and joyful approach to her music, with a natural and unassuming style that’s easy and accessible. Karen is returning to the stage with good friend and accompanist, Carl McPhee and Linda Hannigan on lush harmonies, for this night’s performance.
